Angels Rest

October 22nd, 2009

A panorama from Angels Rest in the Columbia Gorge. I took it with my iphone but make sure to enlarge it as it’s quite big (9000px!). Only one tear in the panorama. Not bad for an almost 360 degree shot taken from a camera phone.

Last Thursday on Alberta is always a good time.

Revolva on Last Thursday

My family were here in Portland for the day as they made their trek from Southern California to Seattle area. They had lined up the time to come over for a bbq at my newish place and then a walk over to the festivities on Alberta St. I’ve hit up the last 6 months or so of Last Thursdays and I’ve always had a great time. I’m looking forward to the next month’s event as I’ll be able to go as slow as I want to soak in the last one of the summer. It’ll be perfect weather for a bit so enjoy it while it lasts.

New pictures of Multnomah Water Falls and the surrounding area

July 25th, 2009

Sweeet. A great trip to the many falls surrounding the ever so popular and tourist trap of Mutlnomah Falls. We love visiting and never have a bad time. What’s not to like? A winding road through the forest that leads to many trail heads, beside and along the road water falls, and a peaceful time all out in nature seeing some of the wondrous things it has to offer. <- That kinda sounds cheesy but it's true. It's so nice to have and be able to visit at anytime!

This tiny little link will lead you to the pictures and my picture section that is currently “plugged into” flickr. Enjoy! I know I did!

Check out my buddy Jim’s HDR’s of Portland. Awesome.

100 year old color pictures?

June 18th, 2009

I don’t like to repost but here is a great story and history of a guy named Sergey Prokudin-Gorsky. He is a Russian that lived in the early 1900′s.

I won’t go further as you can read about him and his work yourself. I must say pretty friggin’ amazing for 100 years ago.
